Wed. 25 Apr - Men’s 4-Weeker Stableford 3rd Round - Grade Don O’Meara won with 38 points and on a count-back runner-up Ian Richardson also scored 38 points. Bob Bedson was nearest the pin on the 1st/10th hole for A Grade and on 9th/18th Ian Richardson was nearest.  B grade winner Doug Hall had 37 points, with David Hand runner-up on 35 points. Nearest the pin B Grade 9th/18th was Lance Thomas.

Thu. 26 Apr - Women’s Championship - Round 1 - resulted in the following: In A grade (0-30) Janice McKenzie won with a score of 91-24-67 and Sandra Toone was runner-up, scoring 96-27-69.  B Grade (31-45) winner was Caroline Wren – 111-38-73 with runner-up Jeanette Dodds on 110-36-74.  Janice McKenzie won the A grade putting with 28 putts and Jeanette Dodds won for B grade with 29 putts.  In the 9 hole event Nelly O’Meara won with 63-22 ½ -40 ½ .

Fri. 27 Apr - Apollo Bay hosted the Women’s SWGA Division 5 Pennant and also won their match 5 nil.

Sun. 29 Apr - Men’s 18 Hole Stableford One Grade - Winner K. Johnson 38 points, Runner-up George Harrison 36 points.  Nearest the pin 1st/10th hole A: Bob Bedson and B: Ken Johnson

Sun. 29 Apr - Men’s A grade SWGA Pennant Division Green - sponsored by Plum Heating & Cooling Round 6 - Handicap division 6. Apollo Bay hosted. Many thanks to the Apollo Bay Bakery for providing the lunch, also thank you for providing goodies for the junior coaching sessions which are now in abeyance until term 4.  Scratch Division 5 at Colac, Inverleigh vs. Apollo Bay no results to hand.

Mon. 30 Apr - Women’s Championships Round 2 - Division 0-30 Winner was Margaret Smith with 91-19-72 nett.  Margaret also won the putting with 28 putts.  Runner-up was Janice McKenzie with 97-24-73 nett. In grade 31-45 Jeanette Dodds won with 108-37-71 nett and her 31 putts earned her the putting trophy in that grade as well. Robyn Lamson was runner-up with 118-40-77.

Coming up

Fri. 18 May - A 2-course dinner comprising of soup and beef Bourguignon with mash will be held at 6.30.  The cost is $10, please book with Helen 0417 305 618.


New players are invited to join our Monday Women's competitions for $6 and clubs can be provided.  Beginners are welcome.  Hit off is 1pm, however, arrive at 12.15 to organise clubs, cards etc and register your name.
