Interesting Scientist; Thank You Cathy; OCEAN Protest; Athletics Coastal Cup; Working Bee; Senious Open Garden Food Stall

This week our senior students had a call in from a scientist working around the edges of Antarctica measuring krill swarms. This formed part of their careers education so they are exposed to a wide range of employment ideas (plus she was super interesting!).

A big thank you to Cathy Donovan for her very generous donation of lovely art supplies to the art room, they are very much appreciated.

Last Friday a group of socially aware and active year 9s joined in with the OCEAN protest in Melbourne, to add their voices to the call to end seismic testing. For most it was their first experience with protesting for something they believe it and they did an excellent job.

This Wednesday (well at time of going to print) we host Lorne and Lavers for the athletics Coastal Cup – the weather isn’t overly friendly but we'll hopefully do our best! Either that or it will be cancelled.

This Sunday 28th we are holding a working bee from 9-12 if you are able to come along and do some weeding we’d love to see you.

Senior food production students are also running a food stall at the Open Garden afternoon the same day from 2–5pm at the Community Garden, free to come along if you’d like a delicious snack.
