Student Teachers; Vaping Info; Yrs 9&10 Dark Matter; Yr12 Final Weeks

We welcome a few more student teachers to our school this week either completing their final rounds or just seeing what life as a country teacher is like.

Our high school students have some sessions by Blurred Minds to do with vaping and its negative effects on both the human body and also the planet. Did you know that over one million disposable vapes are thrown out every week in the UK?! This is enough lithium over a year to make around 1200 electric vehicle batteries. A good enough reason to avoid vapes…that and popcorn lung.

Our Year 9/10s also have a Dark Matter incursion, not something to do with Sith Lords from Star Wars but instead their studies of science.

And our Year 12s start their university applications as they knuckle down for the last few weeks of their life at school.
