Imagine The House Next Door Is On Fire….
27th June 2025
The Apollo Bay Fire & Rescue Brigade could really use a Ground Monitor. This is like a big revolving sprinkler that can be set up to water down adjacent buildings, freeing up all firefighters to put out the fire. It would have been extremely useful at the shop fires and the house fires since. They cost $9,500. If the house or shop next door, were on fire, you’d be very happy to see us set one of these up!
Could you help out, by making a tax deductible contribution to the brigade? Please contact Karen Keegan, CFA Treasurer, by
I can’t remember the last time we asked for donations. Local businesses and people just donate to the brigade. We’d like to thank the following for their donations over the last year, amounting to some $2000 in cash and more, in-kind. Barbara Birkett, Pisces Big 4, Wild Dog Trading (as a thank you our efforts at the shop fires). Thanks too to Great Ocean Road Brewhouse, The Apollo Bay Bakery, Apollo Bay Computers and Apollo Bay IGA and to photographer, Doug Gimesy.
Our gratitude also to all the businesses who release our firefighters to attend callouts.
