Winners – Ian Richardson & Richard Stone 7¾ handicap 58¼ nett; Runners Up – Rod Beecroft & Geoff Moon 12½ handicap 59½ nett

Thu. 03 Mar ’16 – Women’s 18 Holes Stroke – Monthly Medal

It was fine and not too windy.

Grade 1 – Winner – Vicki Hannah nett 65

Grade 2 – Winner – Jeannette Dodds nett 70; Runners Up on c/b Shirley Amery nett 70 & Maureen Vesey nett 70

Putting – Grade 1 – Adele Rowarth 28 putts; Grade 2 – Jeannette Dodds 27 putts

Monthly Medal was won by Vicki Hannah 65 nett, who also won the best gross with 78

Fri. 04 Mar ’16 – Women’s Otway Pennant at Clifton Springs

The Women’s Otway Pennant team squared their match with 2.5 wins.

Sandra Toone and Maureen Vesey won the 18th hole to win their match and Norma Begely hung on to square hers.

Pat Fitzpatrick injured her leg while getting her buggy out of the car. After some first aid, and obtaining a golf cart, she soldiered on to play the match and did very well under the circumstances. Another good effort by the team.

It was pleasant weather but only 14 women ventured out to play.

A Grade – Winner – Vicki Hannah (in great form) 29½ nett; Runner Up – Marriette Deppeler 31 nett

B Grade – Winner – Helen Pini (nice to see) 35½ nett; Runner Up – Jeanette Dodds 36 nett c/b from Jan Coleman

Putting – Sandra Toone 14 putts (only one Grade)

Golf Lessons

Vicki Thomas will be holding golf lessons for those ladies interested. These sessions are subsidised by a past ladies fundraiser.

Apollo Bay Golf Club has registered for the Vic MYGolf program. This coincides with the program that will be run at the school for Grades 3-6. MYGolf Junior program cost – $27. Bookings at mygolf.org.au.
