A new 18 holes Stableford Competition for all members has started –  flexi-time,  from Monday to Saturday inclusive, except if you are playing the regular competition days which precludes you from playing two competitions in one day. It is possible to play this event by two separate 9 holes on different days providing you play a 9 holes “out” and 9 holes “in”.  This hopefully will encourage those who can’t play 18 holes at a time for various reasons. Find your own playing partners – $5 per head, same arrangements as for the previous season’s “Chicken Run”. If playing “separate” 9 holes a day, pay your $5 before the first 9 holes.

A Grade – Winner – Vicki Hannah 85-12-73;  Runner Up – Norma Begely – 98-23-75 c/b from Dawn Thomas

B Grade – Winner – Mariette Deppeler 106-27-79;  Runner Up – Sue McKenzie on c/b

Putting – A Grade – Adele Rowarth 30 putts; B Grade – Sue McKenzie 29 putts

Vicki Hannah scooped the pool by having the best gross score (85), winning the monthly medal, and qualifying as a representative to play off in the Silver Spoon Event.

Mon. 10 Oct ’16 – Women’s Memorial Shield Day

Disappointingly, we had to abandon our Memorial Shield Day due to teams pulling out of the event resulting in too few numbers for a viable golfing day.  Instead we endeavoured to hold our usual 9-hole event in the afternoon.

Only four intrepid golfers were willing to withstand the wind and rain (not enough for a competition), just to get in a few holes of practice before the Stableford Championships begin on Thursday.
