Wed. 18 Apr - Men’s 4-Weeker Stableford Round 2 - A Grade - Don O’Meara won with 39 points and runner-up Ray Matthews scored 38 points. Don was also nearest the pin on the 1st/10th hole for A Grade and on 9th/18th Guy Permazel was nearest. B grade winner Michael Dodds had 37 points, and also had nearest the pins on 1st/10th, and on 9th/18th. Runner-up Ian Nankervis scored 35 points.
Thu. 19 Apr - Women's 18 Hole Stableford - A Grade was won by Adele Rowarth with 31 points. Runner-up was Stacey Thomas 30 points. In B Grade, the winner was Robyn Lamson with 36 points and on a count-back, also with 36 points was Sami Oguzhan. Nearest the pin in A Grade was Vicki Hannah and in B Grade Jan Shaw. In the concurrently played 9 hole competition Mariette Deppeler won with 12 points. Helen Stevens was runner-up on a count-back, also with 12 points.
Sun. 22 Apr - Men’s 18 Hole Stableford - A grade winner Don O’Meara had 39 points and runner-up Brian McKenzie had 31 points on a count-back from Colin Coleman. Nearest the pin 1s5/10th was Bob Craig. In B Grade, Manuel Quintana had 35 points and runner-up Ian Robinson scored 34 points. Ian also was the most accurate on 9th/18th hole with his nearest the pin.
Sun. 22 Apr - Men's SWGA Pennant Division Green - sponsored by Plum Heating & Cooling Round 5- Handicap division 6. Apollo Bay hosted. Apollo Bay defeated. Bannockburn 3 ½-1 ½ with Jason Newcombe squaring his match, David Ivens 1 up, David Wagstaff 4/3, Bill Buckley 2/1. Scratch Division 5 at Torquay, Geelong defeated Apollo Bay 6/1. Apollo Bay’s sole winner was Don Wagstaff 2/1.
Mon. 23 Apr - Women’s 9 Hole Stroke Par 3 Day - Twenty women competed in fine weather. The winner in handicap 0-30 division was Dawn Thomas with 36-14 ½-21 ½ and runner-up Adele Rowarth scored 38-13 ½-24 ½. Handicap division 31-45 saw Jeanette Dodds winning with 40-18-22 and runner-up Caroline Wren with 43-19-24. Putting overall was won by Vicki Hannah with 15 putts on a count-back from Cheryle Polgeest and Nelly O’Meara.

Thu. 26 Apr - Round 1 of Women’s Championships to be played over 3 rounds. Time slots, 2nd round Monday 30th April, final round Thursday 3rd May.
Fri. 27 Apr - Apollo Bay Women host SWGA Division 5 Pennant. Help required, please turn up to assist.
Junior golf coaching will continue in term 2 at 4 p.m. Fridays.
The bushfire appeal for Cobden and surrounding areas raised $192.00.
Sun. 29 Apr - The men host SWGA Pennant round 6. The men’s stableford competition will have time slots from 12.30.
Fri. 18 May - A 2-course dinner comprising of soup and beef Bourguignon with mash will be held at 6.30. The cost is $10, please book with Helen 0417 305 618.

New players are invited to join our Monday Women's competitions for $6 and clubs can be provided. Beginners are welcome. Hit off is 1pm, however, arrive at 12.15 to organise clubs, cards etc and register your name.
