Wednesday 16th May: Men’s 4-week Stroke competition first round: Winner in A grade Bernie Coller 16/60, runner-up Ken Johnson 18/62.  Nearest the pin 1st/10th was D. Richardson and on 9th/18th Bruce Munro.  In B grade the winner Bill Buckley scored 19/67 nett on a count-back from runner-up George Harrison 25/67.  Peter Forbes netted the nearest the pin trophy for B grade on 1st/10th hole.

Thursday 17th May: The women’s stableford 4 BBB competition was won by Caroline Wren and Sandra Toone with 35 points.  Runners-up were Valerie Johnson and Vicki Hannah with 34 points.

Friday 18th May:  In SWGA pennant team from Apollo Bay comprising of Stacey Thomas, Vicki Hannah, Norma Begely, Jill Fowler and Jenny McKeon won their matches against Queens Park, played at Lara 5 nil. The social committee held a successful dinner at the clubhouse which was appreciated by all who attended. The Chicken run was won by Alex Baird.

Sunday 20th May: Apollo Bay Men’s handicap green division pennant played in the grand-final against Bannockburn at Bannockburn.  Apollo Bay lost the match 1-4, David Wagstaff the only match winner 2/1. Congratulations to the team on reaching the grand final.

Monday 21st May: Women’s 9 hole stableford 4BBB competition with drawn partners cancelled due to heavy rain.

Coming up

A working bee to clean buggy room etc, and a BBQ and 9 holes of golf on Saturday 2nd June has been proposed.

Pennant dinner for women players, not just the pennant team will be held on Friday 1st June put your name on the list at the club house.

NEW PLAYERS WELCOME

New players are invited to join our Monday Women's competitions for $6 and clubs can be provided.  Beginners are welcome.  Hit off is 1pm, however, arrive at 12.15 to organise clubs, cards etc and register your name.
