Wed. 10 Oct - Men’s Pinehurst Pairs Stroke 18 holes, was won by Chris Hansen and David Ivens with Nett 64 5/8 with. Runners-up were Bill Buckley and Geoff Vesey with 67 ¼ nett. Nearest the pin 1st/10th A Grade was Bob Bedson and on 9th/18th Bernie Coller was the closest.
Thu. 11 Oct - Women’s 18- hole Stableford competition and final round of the stableford championships
Winner, Margaret Smith had 30 points, and the runner-up Sandra Toone scored 29 points. 30-45 handicap winner was Jeanette Dodds with 27 points and Runner-up was Faith Morrissy with 24 points. The stableford champion over 3 rounds was Margaret Smith with 84 points and on 82 points Janice McKenzie was the runner-up. The Grandmother’s Trophy was won by Helen Stevens on a count-back from Jeanette Dodds.
Fri. 12 Oct - Six Apollo Bay women travelled to Winchelsea to play in their Memorial Bowl. Stacey Thomas won A grade with a splendid 40 points. Our team of Stacey Thomas, Caroline Wren and Sandra Toone were runners up in the Bowl with 107 points, just one point behind the winning team, from Lorne who had 108 points.
Sun. 14 Oct - Men’s Par Championship round 3
A Grade winner was Darren Gill with -1 on a countback from Craig McKenzie. Nearest the pin on 1st/10th was Bob Bedson and on the 9th/18th was Craig McKenzie.
B Grade winner was Manuel Quintana -1 with Bernie Coller only one stroke away with -2. None of the B grade players managed to win a nearest the pin. Congratulations to the 2018 Par Championship winner Craig McKenzie.
Mon. 15 Oct - Women’s Memorial Shield Day was cancelled due to lack of numbers.

Sun. 21 Oct - Coastal Challenge at Apollo Bay. Apollo Bay vs. Peterborough (Peterborough is the trophy holder) has been postponed.
Mon 29 Oct - Women’s 9 Hole 2-Person Ambrose, “Bring a friend” day, followed by afternoon tea. Be at the clubhouse at 12.30 for1 pm hit-off.
Fri 2 Nov - sees the first of the Chicken Runs beginning. This competition is open to all full members and also social members who will be given a temporary handicap.
