Colac Otway Learner Driver Mentor Program (L2P) for Apollo Bay

The Colac Otway Learner Driver Mentor Program (L2P) is looking for learner drivers and volunteer mentors to join the L2P program in Apollo Bay.

Volunteer mentors must have a full Victorian driver's licence, undergo background checks and complete free L2P Mentor Training which will be held in Apollo Bay.

Learners must be 16–20 years of age and facing barriers to gaining consistent driving practice (120 hours) needed to gain their Probationary Driver's Licence.

Barriers may include; no access to a suitable vehicle or supervising driver, etc.

Mentors are matched with a learner and use the L2P program vehicle to provide supervised driving sessions. All L2P learner drivers complete “stage 1” in learning to drive in a driving school before driving with a mentor.
