10th November 2014
Thank You Damien; Yr8s host Hawkesdale; College Council meetings; New Buildings; Health Foundation AGM; Remembrance Day
Firstly, a massive thank you to Damien who came armed with his tractor and CFA truck to help burn off the piles of vegetation around the Ag Centre. He regularly donates his time and expertise to our Garden and we really appreciate this.
Year 8 students will host visiting students from Hawkesdale for an outdoor education based camp this week where they will take part in activities such as surfing and mountain biking.
College Council and subcommittees all meet this week with much to decide in regards to the new building and curriculum for 2015. Speaking of the new building, we continue to be hopeful that the Junior School will be able to move in to the first stage of the building by the end of the school year. More details will be provided to families as dates become more set in concrete (no pun intended!).
Principal, Tiffany Holt, spoke at the Apollo Bay and District Health Foundation AGM and gratefully received a grant which will fund a new, multi-agency, student support program.
For Remembrance Day our new College Captains Gillian Ballinger and Alannah Murnane and Vice Captains John Tucker and Hannah Maxwell will take part in the service. It will also be attended by our year 5 and 6 students.
Lest We Forget.
