Monster Book and Toy Sale

On Sunday 3rd of January we held our biennial Book (and Toy this time) Sale.  It was extremely well stocked and attended and Mother Nature did her bit keeping people off the beach with her howling easterly.

All up we raised $15,030 for the school which is very exciting!

We had so many helpers, book donations, bakers and such that it is almost impossible to thank everyone individually for fear of leaving someone out.  However, all efforts were noticed and greatly appreciated – it was a real team effort.

The quality of books was excellent so to anyone who dropped off a box, to the Apollo Bay Op Shop and Corangamite Library – thank you!

However, special thanks to our mega bakers Pauline Murnane and Kate Wagstaff and cake stall organiser Holly Munday.

Thank you to our Toy Queen Nancy Kinninmonth for finding new homes for a pile of Apollo Bay’s unwanted toys.

A big greasy thanks to our Sausage Sizzle organisers Tina Clissold and Gosia Marian and the donation from Foodworks.

Thank you to Lyndi Whalen Facepainting and Hello Coffee for your presence and donations on the day.

And to Bimbi Park for being keen (silly?!) enough to purchase the remaining several hundred boxes at the end of the day.
