Basketball Comp; Yr6 City Camp; Yr12 Art Geelong Trip; Youth Engagement; Final Yr12 PST Conferences; Yr10/11 'Robot Babies'; Lock-in Drill
22nd July 2024
Our Year 9/10 students host Lorne students for a basketball competition to start our week.
Year 6s also head off to Melbourne for their city camp, sightseeing their way around the city and enjoying public transport and some city food.
Year 12 art students head to Geelong to visit the last few galleries before their assessment and exams (but hopefully not the last galleries of their lives…).
Colac’s Youth Engagement officer will come to have a chat to our SRC and other interested young people as to what sort of things they would like to see in Apollo Bay for this age group.
We have final parent/student/teacher conferences for our Year 12s as they head into the last term of studies.
Year 10/11 health students have their final days with the ‘robot babies’, caring for these doll simulators and experiencing a small part of the demands of a newborn.
And we practise a lock-in drill, mainly because we’ve not done one before. Thankfully we don’t live in a country that is likely to need it, but worth practising anyway, eh?
