2024 Youth Photography Competition – entries closing soon!

Council’s Youth Photo competition is now open, and it’s time to get snapping as entries close at 5pm Monday 26 August 2024.
The theme of this year’s competition is ‘Perspective: The way YOUth see Colac Otway,” and is open to all young people aged 13 to 25 who live, work or study in the Colac Otway Shire.
Council’s Youth Engagement Project Officer Chelsea Sharp encouraged young people to get creative with their entries and share their unique experiences of Colac Otway.
“We were thrilled so many young people participated in the competition last year, and the standard of photography was outstanding,” Ms Sharp said.
“The Youth Engagement team are excited to see how young people in Colac Otway interpret this year’s theme. There’ll be the opportunity for everyone to enjoy the art created with an exhibition of the competition photographs coming up at COPACC.”
There are prizes to be won in two age categories: 13–18-year-olds and 19–25-year-olds and winners will be selected by a judging panel, prizes will be awarded to the first and second-placed entries from each category.
“This is a great opportunity for young people in the shire to have some fun developing their photography skills and also go in the running to win great prizes,” Ms Sharp said.
