Colac Otway residents needed for panel

Colac Otway Shire Council is looking for extra people to join a panel to help shape the shire’s future.
The Community Panel will offer a mix of views and perspectives for our Council Plan which will guide Council for the next four years.
Council has received strong interest in the panel from coastal and rural residents, and most age groups are well represented.
But we still need a few members to ensure the panel reflects the shire’s population.
Council is looking for people who are:
- Between 16 and 35 years old or
- Over 65 years old
- Preferably living, working or learning in Colac/Elliminyt
If you know someone in these groups, encourage them to join the panel and contribute to shaping our future.
They can apply via a simple online form on our webpage at colacotway.vic.gov.au/getinvolved
Applications close at midday on Tuesday 11 March.
Panel members must attend three evening sessions, they will be paid for their time, venues are child-friendly, and council is providing transport help for people to attend.
This is an opportunity for passionate people to have a say in what's going well, and what they’d like to see for the future of Colac Otway Shire.
