Colac Otway responds to seven-day COVID19 Lockdown

Colac Otway Shire Council has closed public-facing facilities in accordance with the State Government’s COVID19 Lockdown advice effective from 8pm Thursday 5 August.
Council will continue to deliver essential services to the community, subject to further advice, while prioritising the community’s health during the current COVID-19 situation.
Colac Otway Shire Council advises the following Council facilities will be CLOSED to the public in accordance with State Government restrictions from 8pm Thursday 5 August 2021:
- Colac Otway Shire Customer Service Centres (Colac & Apollo Bay) including library chute
- Great Ocean Road Visitor Information Centre
- Bluewater, closed (Gym, Pools & Stadium) from 7.30pm Thursday 5 August
COPACC will only open for access to Colac Area Health COVID-19 Vaccination Program and the Colac Otway Shire Council childhood immunisation program.

Council Payments
Council payments can be made via phone or online via Council’s website or BPay (please note, Council’s e-services payment system will be offline from 6.30am Saturday 7 August for approximately 30 minutes while scheduled maintenance works are completed).
Rubbish Collection and Waste Drop-Off
Kerbside rubbish collection will continue as normal.
Planning Committee Meeting
The Planning Committee meeting will be held virtually via videoconference on Wednesday 11 August at 2pm. The meeting will be livestreamed to the public via Council’s YouTube channel (search 'Colac Otway Shire Council' at www.youtube.com).
Colac Regional Saleyards
The store sale scheduled for Friday 6 August, and the fat sale for Thursday 11 August will both take place. However, in line with current State Government lockdown restrictions, only buyers, agents and saleyards employees will be permitted to attend.
School Crossing Supervisors
School Crossings will be staffed Friday 6 August and Monday 9 August, an update on this service will be provided Monday 9 August.
