Community Workshops

The Colac Otway Shire invites you to attend one of the Colac Otway Tourism Parking and Traffic Strategy community workshops.

The Colac Otway Tourism Parking and Traffic Strategy will provide a current, evidence based approach, that outlines the infrastructure priorities and traffic management strategies that are urgently required within the Great Ocean Road Region.  It will focus on the towns of Apollo Bay, Skenes Creek, Marengo, Wye River, Separation Creek, Lavers Hill, Forrest, and Kennett River.

Council is inviting the community and stakeholders to share their knowledge and experiences in relation to tourism related parking and traffic management issues in these towns. The purpose of the workshops is to gather information from the community and stakeholders to find out the key issues and opportunities associated with tourism related parking and traffic matters in each town.

The workshop dates are:

Forrest: Facilitated Community Workshop, Saturday 9 June, 10am to 12pm, Forrest Primary School

Kennett River: Facilitated Community Workshop, Saturday 9 June, 2pm to 4pm, Kennett River Surf Life Saving Club Bunkhouse

Wye River and Separation Creek: Facilitated Community Workshop, Sunday 10 June, 9.30am to 11.30am, Wye River CFA

Apollo Bay, Skenes Creek, and Lavers Hill: Facilitated Community Workshop, Sunday 10 June, 1.30pm to 3.30 pm, Apollo Bay Senior Citizens Hall

All towns: Drop-in session in Apollo Bay, Thursday 14th June, 3pm to 6pm, Apollo Bay Senior Citizens Hall TBC

The workshops will focus on the tourism related parking and traffic issues associated with the town where the workshop is being held.  For example, we will focus on Kennett River issues in the Kennett River workshop session.

We recognise, however, that people may not be able to attend the nominated workshop or drop-in session.
