Regulations regarding private swimming pools and spas

Colac Otway Shire Council wishes to remind you of the strict rules which apply to private swimming pools and spas.
Building Regulations require ALL swimming pools, which are greater than 30cm (300mm or 1 foot) in depth, to have an inspected and approved pool safety barrier in place. These rules apply regardless of whether the swimming pool is permanent or temporary. It is the law to have an inspected and approved safety barrier around your pool or spa.
