GOR Running Festival & 2020 Grants

2020 has been a year like no other. Ordinarily at this time of year we would be distributing funds to local organisations from money raised through the Great Ocean Road Running Festival. But we must stay positive and look forward to the next event when we will help IMG (the event organisers) make it bigger and better.
Sadly, this year we will not be calling for grant applications. The funds ordinarily set aside for grants have been used for rent relief for Apollo Bay Opportunity Shop (owned by The Foundation) and giving a further $30k to the Aquatic Centre to make our total contribution $60k for this wonderfulcommunity project. We would have loved to have matched the $36k that we granted to the community last year but alas, it was not meant to be.
It’s now time to look forward to the completion of the swimming pool where we can celebrate the successes of our wonderful town of Apollo Bay.
