OCR FM Community Radio Station are proud to announce that they have resumed broadcasting into Apollo Bay on 88.7 FM.

Towards the end of 2013 OCR FM had to relocate their transmission site after ceasing transmission when a new community radio group acquired the use of their Apollo Bay studio and transmission site.

"All the OCR FM volunteers have worked extremely hard to get a signal back in Apollo Bay since ceasing transmission in 2013. We've had lots of enquiries asking when we were going to be back on 88.7 and we have been waiting for clearance from Australian Communications and Media Authority. We've worked closely with the ACMA, the Apollo Bay Community, local council and our technicians to test several different transmission sites. The new transmission site was settled on in mid-2014 and we were very happy to receive approval from ACMA for transmission from our new site on Monday," said OCR FM President Tyson Graham.

"It has been a lengthy process to get all the paperwork and permits finalized before we could recommence transmission but we're all very happy that we are now back on-air" says said Mr Graham.

Apollo Bay residents can now tune back in on 88.7 FM to enjoy a huge variety of music from across the generations and genres, as well as keep up to date with local community information.
