Apollo Bay P-12 College10th March 2015
Tour of New School; Athletics Day; Staff PD Day; Looking for a Boat for the Playground

There's nothing like starting a column with a retraction of an invitation, but here goes...there was a touch of Chinese whispers between various people and this led to a wrongly worded invitation last week.  The open morning on Wednesday 25th of March is for direct families of students only.  Admin would like to wait til the very end of the project to open our doors to the wider community.  We apologise for raising any hopes, but would like to emphasise we most definitely WILL be having a grand opening and EVERYONE will be invited to this.  Hopefully in Term 2, all things going to plan – you will be notified in this column and via social media.

Athletics Day is this week, with students from Prep to 12 participating in various sporting events, decked out in house colours.

Staff attend an excellent second PD (professional development) day with Stephan Graham in relation to teaching writing explicitly.  This time we travel to Colac (the view from the conference centre will be nowhere near as spectacular as the Apollo Bay Surf Club, sadly).

We are also on the hunt for an unwanted boat that would be suitable as an addition to our playground area.  If you know of something that is available, please contact the school!
