End of Term; Thank yous; Working bee; Yr9 Bright Kids; NT Kids & Yr12 VCAL; Regional Athletics & Swimming; PTS Interviews
We farewell Term 1 already, knowing that when we return the school building project will be close to finished (all things going to plan...which they don't always in the building game we have discovered!). Thank you to all the wonderful parents and friends who have been working hard on the landscaping and library in the past few weeks, especially the team from Pisces Caravan Park. We will hold the first of many working bees this week to move dirt, mulch and plants.
Year 9 students are also having a busy week hosting their peers from Bright P-12 College and a group of Indigenous students from remote NT. The latter students are sponsored by the Thathangathay Foundation and the camp is organised by our year 12 VCAL students as part of their final assessment. They will be experiencing the ocean with surfing, fishing, snorkelling activities as well as visiting the GOR landmarks.
A group of students head to Colac this week to take part in a regional athletics competition with some impressive results in a number of events. Another group head to Warrnambool for the regional swimming competition, also with some impressive results.
Thursday is our final official day for students, due to parent/teacher/student interviews. The Student Representative Council will run a 'dress like your parents' day raising money for an as yet to be decided charity/project. If they are really stuck for an idea, I have always wanted a trip to Tahiti...
Anyway, wishing you a safe and restful school holiday period, school resumes Monday 13th April.
