New Building is Open; Meg Bryant; Yr3 Camp; Yr2 Camp; Dishwasher For Sale
As students arrive back to school for Term 2, they'll notice a slight increase in the area in which they are permitted access. The second building is now open for business! Among other classes, our Kitchen Garden Program will return to an indoor space in our lovely new kitchen area this week, although cooking on BBQs has been truly inspiring in Term 1. Ricotta pancakes and sugared plums on a hot plate have to be tasted to be believed.
Year 11 student, Meg Bryant, heads to Sydney this week after being invited to take part in a Young Women Leadership Academy seminar. She will listen to female speakers, meet peers with similar leadership and career aspirations and discuss how they can impact on social issues, particularly those pertaining to women.
Year 3 camp will be held on Thursday/Friday at Bimbi Park, where students will try rock climbing, bush walking and making their own lunches! Thank you to Frank and Katrina Fotinas for their continuing support of such ventures – the hosts with the mosts (sic).
Year 2 students also have their first experience of camping, sleeping over in the classrooms, eating dinner in the aforementioned new kitchen and trying out the principal's chair for size (after hours, shhhh!).
For sale: a dishwasher, Dishlex DX301 White. It has only been used a few times, so it is basically as new. Worth $669 new – all reasonable offers considered, please contact the school.
For more information please contact the College on (03) 5237 6483.
