Year five students get 'Gold Fever' as they head off to the diggings at Sovereign Hill, hoping to make their fortune finding miniscule pieces of gold leaf in the creek.  They'll stay for two nights on site and enjoy learning more about the history of the golden days of Victoria.

The VET music students have their final exam this week – we hope they enjoy the experience once the nerves subside with the first strum.

Year 9&10 students will go on a science excursion to Timboon to do genetic testing on dairy cattle.

A repeat from last week: mentors wanted for the Mentoring Program beginning October 30th.  Billy cart races are on again and we are seeking 8 mentors to take a small group of Year 8 students for 1.5hrs each Friday and help them build their racing billy carts.  Please contact Loren Jenkins at school or by This email address is being protected from spambots. A big thank you to Scott from Mowtown Mowing and Gardening for cutting the grass in the paddocks near the kitchen garden.  And thanks also to Luke from Poofighters for connecting the new water pump for the big tank.
