So, what's happening this week?
Well, the National Gallery of Victoria are coming to visit our year 3-6 students with their Bushido: The Way of the Samurai incursion. Students will get to look at Japanese warrior outfits and art, then design their own Samurai kabuto (helmet). A new career for some...
Our school will host the annual interschool swimming competition between Lorne and Lavers Hill – you may hear the cheers from your house/work!
The Victorian Yachting Club brought their racing boats down to Apollo Bay last week for a couple of days so students in years 3-9 could have a go at sailing (this is extra to the 'Try Sailing' program run by The Apollo Bay Sailing Club).
As part of our involvement with the Lorne Sculpture Biennale, Primary and VCE Art students are working with sculptor Dana Falcini to make a large installation. We are collecting plastic bags (grey, clear and white) of all sorts to make our sculpture – please send them in to school.
Classroom helpers also come for training this week - thank you all for your interest!
