Genetic Testing; Yr10 Melbourne Excursion; Prep-2 see Jungle Book @ Lavers Hill; Vet Music Performance; Cross Country; Visiting Author; Working Bee
Whoever thought country schools don't pack as much punch as city ones...
Certain year levels will take part in a genetic testing program run by GTAC (Gene Technology Access Centre), for selected country schools. The lessons range from human evolution, genetics and diagnosing lactose intolerance.
Year 10 head off to Melbourne to see Jasper Jones performed at the Arts Centre, sadly they do not need extra staff to go along...drat.
Year Prep-2 had a shorter bus trip for their live theatre viewing, they went to watch The Jungle Book at Lavers Hill College.
Our VET music students put on an assessed performance at the Apollo Bay Brewhouse on Thursday 7:30pm (if you see this in time, go along!).
Cross country will be held for yrs 3-8 on Friday.
We'll have a visiting author come to talk about his craft with students in the middle years of schooling.
And we'll also squeeze in a working bee – thanks to our trusty workers.
