27th November 2017
'Most Edible Garden' Award Winners; Circus Oz; Yr10+11 Exams; VCE Literature Excursion; Student Free Day
In case you missed the news, we are thrilled to announce that last week our College was anointed ‘Most Edible Garden’ for 2017 in the Victorian School’s Garden Awards. This comes with a $1000 dollar voucher to spend at various nurseries as well as a speccy certificate. Congratulations to Dave Nelson, Holly Munday, Dav Rees and all of the students and volunteers who work to make our Garden such a success.
Instead of having to run away to join the circus, this week the circus came to us! Circus Oz came to run workshops for most of our students culminating in a performance on Thursday evening. If you read this hot off the press on Thursday, you are invited to attend this performance in the Leisure Centre at 5:45pm. It will also include the Circus Oz performers doing some tricks, who are truly staggering.
Year 10 & 11 students sat their end of year exams as they wind up for 2017, all that is left is ‘Leap’ which is the transition into their next VCE subjects.
Megan Harrison and her VCE Literature crew headed to Melbourne to The Globe Theatre to see some Shakespeare. If you haven’t been yet, I would highly recommend it, it’s the best I’ve ever seen of The Bard.
Friday is student free for report writing.
