Play Pod Donations; GAT; Yrs 9-11 Snow Trip; Yrs 7&8 Girls Footy
29th August 2022

The school council environment committee at Apollo Bay P-12 College is looking to spruce up our play pod area and asking for household donations we can upcycle from you, our wonderful community. The play pod is the creative play zone where kids can use their imagination during free time for play-based learning. We hope you can help us achieve a wondrous area for our young students to thrive. Our goal is to create themed zones: an outdoor kitchen, dinosaur pit, construction/race car arena, fairy garden, sea play, sensory lab, and obstacle area. The finish line is nearing for our Year 12s, who are gearing up for the GAT (General Achievement Test) next Wednesday. Some Year 11s will also sit the exam.

There’s no escaping the winter chill for a group of Year Nines to 11, who are hitting the snow next week. The group is making the long-trek to Mount Hotham in the state’s Alps.

If you’re already missing local footy, you can head down to the Rec Reserve tomorrow to watch our Year Seven and Eight girls host Lorne. It’s an exciting match for our girls, who will play their first competitive match after spending the winter doing weekly training sessions under our graduate teacher Niamh after school. The first bounce is at 11:30.
