Bluewater Stadium floor installation commences

Timber for the Bluewater stadium floor has arrived from the United Kingdom and installation has commenced.
Mayor Chris Potter said Council anticipated that the floor would be completed by the end of March 2017, and thanked stadium users for their patience.
Installation of the sub-floor and moisture barrier was completed in anticipation of the timber arriving in late February.
Once installed the quality of the floor, as seen in equivalent floor systems at the Australian Institute of Sport, will be of a quality suitable to play an NBA game.
“We can’t wait to get the community back into the stadium,” Cr Potter said.
