Council Annual Satisfaction Survey to Commence

10th February 2026

Residents may be contacted shortly as part of Colac Otway Shire Council’s annual community satisfaction survey.

Independent market research agency Klein Research, together with their partner TKW Research will be conducting the survey. They 200 people will be interviewed on the phone and an additional 200 people will be surveyed online across a representative sample of residents from Monday 16 February through to the beginning of April.

Surveys will be undertaken across the state, assessing each council’s performance on a range of measures including community consultation, customer service, local infrastructure, facilities, services and overall council direction.

The survey is anonymous and includes a range of questions designed to understand community perceptions of Council’s performance in delivering important services.

Colac Otway Shire’s Chief Executive Officer Andrew Tenni encouraged community members to take part in the satisfaction survey.

“If you’re contacted, I encourage you to have your say. Your feedback shows us what’s working and highlights where we need to lift our performance.”

“This survey is an important tool that helps us gauge community sentiment across key service areas,” he said.

“We’re keen to hear about your direct experiences with Council in the past year so we can continue improving how we serve you. This survey helps us understand community expectations and identify opportunities to do better,” Mr Tenni said.

Participation is completely voluntary, and all responses are confidential and reported in aggregate only.

Results are released mid-year. View last year’s survey results.
