Council considers application for resort development at Apollo Bay

An application for a $70 million resort development at Apollo Bay is now on public exhibition.
The first phase of the proposed development on the Barham River Road includes 180 hotel rooms, 82 villas, a wellness centre, a 25-metre swimming pool, bar and restaurants.
It is expected the project will generate approximately 250 jobs during construction and about 175 ongoing jobs once the resort is operational.
The application can be viewed during business hours at Council’s customer service centres in Colac or Apollo Bay, or by visiting Council’s website.
The application will be on display until 24 October, 2017.
