Port of Apollo Bay Community Consultative Committee (POABCC) – Community Representative position

The Port of Apollo Bay Community Consultative Committee is the primary user and consultative forum of the Colac Otway Shire for the Port of Apollo Bay. The committee is administrated by a secretariat provided by Colac Otway Shire Council and includes members from four stakeholder groups in Apollo Bay and four self-nominated community representatives. 

The aim of the POABCC is to:

Facilitate communication, share information and consult with the port users, community and members of the public who are interested in, or may be impacted, by port operations

Provide advice to the Colac Otway Shire Council on issues of concern to the users, community and stakeholders

Provide a forum where government agencies and potential port users can inform the Apollo Bay community of issues relevant to the Colac Otway Shire and Port of Apollo Bay

There is currently a vacant community representative position, this position will suit an applicant with a demonstrated interest in the Port and experience in the fields of marine operations, harbours, coastal issues, legislation or risk management.
