Great Ocean Road Marathon 2016

The Apollo Bay & District Health Foundation is proud to be the Preferred Charity again in this year's GMHBA Great Ocean Road Marathon, which takes place on 14 and 15 May 2016. Our ever-increasing team of wonderful volunteers will once again be manning drinks stations, marshalling roads and providing support and encouragement to runners along the route.
In 2016, we are thrilled to welcome back as our major sponsors the Apollo Bay Bakery and the Apollo Bay Chamber of Commerce, both of whom also sponsored us in last year's Marathon. These two iconic local organisations are being joined for the first time this year by the Apollo Bay Hotel, whom we are delighted to also have on board. We thank these three major sponsors and look forward to working with them towards a very successful event, which in turn will benefit communities along the Great Ocean Road.
The Health Foundation's other supporters this year include Otway Health, Community Care Chemist, Tuxion Design and The Gym.
Following the success of last year's initial "Wellness Festival", Apollo Bay's local hospital, Otway Health, has joined forces with the Apollo Bay & District Health Foundation to present the 2016 Great Ocean Road Marathon Market Hub. This year's Hub will feature more than 30 food and beverage stalls with a focus on fitness, health and well-being as well as bespoke and handmade products, combined with activities for the kids.
