Sovereign Hill; Surf Carnival; Music Concert; Bike Ed.; Congratulations Tori; New Buildings & Call for Help Coming Soon
Our year 5 students went on a three day camp to Sovereign Hill to experience life on the gold fields – they went to 'old fashioned' school, visited the mines and tried to find their fortune on the panning site. Needless to say they all returned to school to seek fortunes elsewhere.
This week we have a year 5-10 surf carnival, where students take part in various aquatic activities, such as rescues, board paddles, ocean swims and beach races. Staff and students are keen to race each other to determine who is the overall Iron Nipper. Fingers crossed it isn't a howling Easterly!
This coming Monday the 1st of December is our end of year Music Concert at the Leisure Centre. All students who learn musical instruments will be performing a piece. If you would like to watch, please come along from 12:30 – 3:15pm. All interested music fans are welcome, even if it is only for a short time.
Bike Education has been completed for Year 3-6, thanks to Emma De Grandi and Bec Hand for running this important program.
Congratulations to Tori Cooper – her artwork was chosen as the winner for the Apollo Bay Agricultural Show's front cover.
Things to do with the new building have really been zinging along – the Junior School (the long bit) and the BER building (the old library) will be ready to move into in the next few weeks! Preparations for this logistical challenge have begun and families have been informed of the plans for the final week of school. Once moving dates are more final, we will be putting out a call for help...stay tuned!
