11th May 2015
NAPLAN, Primary Open Day, Playground, Marathon, Bastow School Leadership Program, Landscaping
It will be all things NAPLAN for many of our students this week, as with their counterparts all around the country. Results will not be known til much later in the year.
All Prep-6 families on Tuesday 19th May are invited to another of our open mornings from 9 – 9:30am.
The playground space is having its final makeover, with the entire 'old' playground being moved from next to the tennis courts to up near the Costin Street end of school. All going to plan (ha!) it should be open for business next week.
Many of our parents, friends and students are gearing up for their big weekend of volunteering during the Marathon – there are a few spots left if you'd still like to help make a difference!
Our school leadership team have been selected to be part of the Bastow school leadership program and take part in their first workshop this week where they will develop an appropriate project to improve school performance.
The final digging and scraping is also being done on the Pengilley side of the school, now that the carpark has been sealed. There is a lot of planting and other landscaping to be done – stay tuned for the date of our next working bee.
