Batforce Visit; Safe Travels Steve; Cross Country
6th June 2022

The school will welcome Leigh Bartlett from the Barwon Adolescent Task Force (Batforce) this upcoming Wednesday and Thursday to host a cyber safety seminar and Ready to Launch sessions. Leigh has a background in education, wellbeing and sports coaching, and she will cover various topics and issues our young students face, with the visit targeting age groups from Grade Five to Year 10. A parent-guardian session is also taking place on Wednesday night. The Batforce visit follows the success of last week’s talks from Nicky at the Butterfly Foundation, who engaged with our students and their families about disordered eating and body image.

The College Community would like to wish Steve Peters safe travels as he prepares to depart for a trip north during the winter months. Steve has been a familiar face at the school in recent times, passing on his knowledge and skill in the wood room and kitchen. We hope to see Steve back at the school in the future.

Our top cross-country athletes headed to Warrnambool last week for the Greater Western Region meet, competing against the best in South West Victoria. Rory Boyd, 13th, and Octavia Geekie, 16th, just missed out on qualifying for Melbourne, while Ella Boyd and Angelique Morrison also did the school proud.
