Refugee Week Visitor; Yr9 Career Pathways; Yr10 Driver Education
20th June 2022

Important messages and discussions were delivered to our students during a busy final week of term two.

To honour Refugee Week, the school welcome Para Paheer, a Sri Lankan man who sought asylum to Australia back in 2009. Para is able to share his journey with our students thanks to a special relationship he has built with Ali Corke since starting his new life in Australia.

The future will be on the minds of our Year Nine students when career specialists from Morrisby visit the school on Tuesday. The process looks at the strengths and interests of students, and ways to start considering a pathway after school.

Year 10 students will have a chance to get in the driver’s seat later this year after Bendigo Bank kindly sponsored the school’s Driver Education Camp at Charlton. The team on the Apollo Bay and District Community Bank Board has supported the program for many years and has jumped on board again through its Community Partnership Program.
