Yrs 10&11 Work Experience; JUNKYARDIA; Welcome Lisa!
18th July 2022

Our Year 10 and 11 students might get a look into the future next week when they tackle work experience rounds. The Year 10 group is mainly staying local, with students getting familiar with the town’s IT guru Craig Buckingham, our very own award-winning photographer Amber Noseda and spending time in the tourism sector and with local trades, while one lucky student is getting ready to enter the inner sanctum of NRL powerhouse Melbourne Storm. The Year 11s will do their rounds in the Big Smoke. Students and staff have done a terrific job preparing and organising the week away. Destinations include curating at Aami Park, a desk at The Weekly Times, an insight into the workings of the County Court and a behind-the-scenes look at the Hellenic Museum.

The school is preparing to welcome visitors from the faraway planet JUNKYARDIA on Tuesday. The incursion will teach our primary pupils ways of creative recycling and how to be more resourceful with their rubbish. They might even get to partake in a "jam of epic proportions" with recycled instruments.

Our amazing office crew has somehow grown to be even better after Lisa Healey has joined the team. Lisa has become a familiar face for our school family and visitors since stepping in to help Richy, Lou and Meg in the engine room.
