Pool Mural; Screaming Babies!; Lemons Please; Trivia Night; VOTE FOR MATTY O!!
31st October 2022

An aquatic-themed mural, greeting swimmers at our local pool, is the work of our talented students Savi Ainsworth, Geena and Lucy Eastgate, and Taj Vesey, who spent hours brightening up the entrance. Even if you’re not a fan of the water, it’s worth swinging by to check out.

Sleepless nights due to screaming babies have given our Year 10 students an early taste of parenthood, and maybe an understanding of what their parents went through. The Health and Human Development class are studying Developmental Transitions, nursing a newborn baby doll - wired to test their nerve - to learn more about child and maternal health as part of the elective this term.

When life gives you lemons, please donate them to us! Carmel and our fabulous cooking crew are after as many of the zesty yellow things as we can get, to continue the school’s fabulous Stephanie Alexander Kitchen program, while also preparing to serve up some special treats during the busy end of year school celebrations.

Staff put their knowledge to the test against one another on Melbourne Cup eve with a Trivia Night. Cam S and Cara organised the event, with bragging rights going to the A-team, featuring Humpty, Riley, Miss Jade, Lisa and Lou. The cricket club kindly let the school use the rooms for the event, which provided plenty of laughs.

There’s less than two weeks to go until voting closes in Matt Orchard’s quest to become the Music Teacher of the Year at this year’s ARIA Awards. Matty O is heading to the big show in Sydney at the end of the month and you can help him bring home the iconic trophy - VOTE HERE.
