Yr12s Finish Exams; Remembrance Day; GOOD LUCK MATTY O!!
14th November 2022
Our Year 12 students complete the last of their exams this week. To celebrate their school journey, teachers and parents gathered for the Year 12 Celebration Dinner at the Apollo Bay Hotel last Friday night. We wish all the students the very best in their future endeavours.
A student-driven Remembrance Day service was held at the school last Friday. Junior school students spent the week creating wreaths to lay for the event and learning about the significance of why we recognise Remembrance Day. A special thanks goes to Cameron Smith for co-ordinating the assembly and our junior and senior captains for speaking, particularly Ned Carney for his recital of In Flanders Fields. Students were also present at the town’s ceremony, with Callum Gorrie reciting In Flanders Fields, and members of the Scouts community as flag bearers. Lest We Forget.
Matty Orchard’s ARIA voting campaign finishes on a high note this week when he'll appear on Sunrise on Wednesday surrounded by his adoring fans (our school students). Wildlife Wonders will host a Sign Making Workshop on Tuesday after school in preparation for the live cross to weatherman Sam Mac and our rockstar music teacher outside the Apollo Bay Bakery. Voting closes on 16 November 2022 at 11:59pm (AEDT), then we wait to see if Matty O can bring an ARIA back to the Bay!
