Wed. 21 Feb - Men’s 18 Hole 4 Week Stableford - Final Round - Winner in A Grade was Chris Hansen with 41 points and with 39 points, Richard Stone was again runner-up.  While Don Wagstaff had nearest the pin on 1st/10th-  Chris Hansen conquered the 9th/18th. In B Grade Ray Matthews won another round with 34 points on a count-back from Bill Buckley, who was runner-up.  Bruce Amery was the most accurate on 1st/10th for B. Grade. The 4 week winners, who tied on 109 points, were Richard Stone and Don O’Meara.

Thu, 22 Feb - Women’s Summer Cup - 3rd Round - produced the following results: 0-27 Adele Rowarth scored 98-27-71 to win and runner-up Sandra Kent had 92-20-72. In the 28-45 division, Faith Morrissy won with 103-38-65, lining up with the winners 3 weeks in a row! Jan Shaw was runner-up scoring 104-34-70.  The putting was won in A grade by Adele Rowarth, with 28 putts and in B Grade Jeanette Dodds won with 29 putts.

Fri. 16 Feb - Women's Otway Pennant - Apollo Bay vs Anglesea at Colac. The match was squared with 2 wins, 2 losses and a draw.  Our first time pennant player Faith Morrissy won on the 18th hole -2 up.  Sandra Toone comfortably won her match 7/6.  Adele Rowarth lost on the 16th hole 3/2 and Jan Shaw who hasn’t played pennant for many years, lost 2 down on the 18th hole.  Jean Hansen squared her match.

Fri. 23 Feb - Women's Otway Pennant - Apollo Bay vs Clifton Springs at Anglesea in humid weather, Apollo Bay team lost 3/2.  Martha Macintyre won, 2 up, Adele Rowarth and Jean Hansen squared their games, and Lyn Box and Sandra Toone lost in close matches.

Sun. 25 Feb - Men's Summer Cup - A Grade - Tim McClelland won with nett 63 and runner-up was Peter Collard who scored a nett 65.  B Grade Winner was Bill Buckley with nett 56, and with 60 nett Ray Matthews was runner-up.  Don O’Meara had nearest the pins on both 1st and 18th holes.  Alan Rowarth scored nearest the pin on 1st/10th for B Grade. The Summer Cup winners were Brian McKenzie and Ray Matthews.

Mon. 26 Feb - Women’s 9 Hole Stableford - was won by Jeanette Dodds with 17 points and Helen Healy, who has just re-started golf recently, was runner-up with 16 points.

“Learner days” of golf continuing for the final week (after our usual Monday 9 hole competition) from 4.30-5.30pm.

NEW PLAYERS WELCOME

New players are invited to join our Monday competitions for $6 and clubs can be provided.  Beginners are welcome.  Hit off is 1pm, however, arrive at 12.15 to organise clubs, cards etc and register your name.

A small trophy will be awarded. Clubs are available, and there is no charge.
