Happy Tackers at Apollo Bay Harbour

Sailing Australia’s mobile sailing school came to Apollo Bay Harbour last week bringing a whole tuition program for kids, teens and adults.
Pam Keating said, ‘As an adult I’ve thought about sailing for a while but this was a great chance to learn how to sail properly.’
Peter Geekie, of Apollo Bay Sailing Club said. ‘The Tackers and Start Sailing programs each enjoyed good enrolments. We had 2 perfect sailing days during the week. It was great to hear so many joyful stories from excited new sailors and to see all these little boats on the water. Some of the participants came to stay in Apollo Bay just to do the course which is great for the town. As a club we’ve chipped in some funds to help run the course but we really appreciate the support from Australian Sailing to offer this fantastic opportunity to our community.
Sailing is easy, affordable but best of all its fun and we’re pleased to welcome members of the future.
