Last Week of Term; Driving Lessons; Happy Retirement Andrew; Cross Country Champion; Happy Holidays!
12th September 2022

Camp, the school formal and a market were all part of a busy week to finish term three.  Our VCE students also go behind the wheel to hit the streets of Apollo Bay for driving lessons co-ordinated by the school.

The school community would like to wish Andrew Netherway all the best in retirement. Andy was our school nurse over the past five years. He ensured that all medical plans were up to date, re-stocked the First Aid kits and took hundreds of classes promoting health. Staff who teach Year 7–9 Health will miss his expertise and methodical approach to sex education which can be a challenging topic to teach at the best of times.

The school has a national cross-country runner in its ranks after Year Nine student Teyvia Williams represented Victoria. Teyvia, who has made the Bay home with her family this year, competed in the Australian Cross Country Championships in South Australia. She finished sixth overall in the under-16 women’s event. An amazing achievement.

We’d like to wish our students and their families a safe and happy holidays, and we hope the holiday period is a successful time for the wider Bay community. We’ll see you all in term four!
